Woodworking Tools: Jigsaws and Electric Planers
Choose cutting or planing
This collection belongs to Yuri’s wider power tools range. A jigsaw is selected around its approved blade, workpiece material and cutting capacity. A planer is selected around the width and depth of material to remove.
The Dayuri JS5105 listing gives an 85mm wood-cutting capacity and a 0–45° bevel range. Other jigsaw capacities must be read against their own stated material and setup rather than transferred from that model.
Compare the two planer depths
| Model | Maximum planing width | Maximum planing depth |
|---|---|---|
| Dayuri EP5100 | 82mm | 1mm |
| Dayuri EP5101 | 82mm | 2mm |
Use the width to assess the working pass and the permitted depth for the intended cut. A higher maximum depth does not mean every material should be planed at that setting.
For circular-saw or mitre-saw formats, compare the cutting tools collection, using each machine’s blade and capacity requirements.
People Also Ask
Can every jigsaw blade be fitted to every listed jigsaw?
The blade clamp and shank type, permitted blade dimensions and material approval must match the model. A common blade description alone does not verify that fit.
Does a jigsaw’s capacity in wood establish the same capacity in steel?
No. Capacity is material- and setup-specific. Use the separately published capacity for the intended material; do not apply a wood figure to metal.
