Safety Guidelines
Power tools, cutting wheels, grinding wheels, abrasives, and industrial accessories must be used carefully and only for their intended applications.
Improper use can lead to product damage, poor performance, breakage, injury, or unsafe working conditions.
Before Using Any Product
Before using a tool or abrasive product, always check:
- Product size
- Machine compatibility
- RPM rating
- Material compatibility
- Product condition
- Expiry or storage condition, where applicable
- Proper fitting and mounting
- Operator safety requirements
Do not use any product that appears cracked, damaged, wet, bent, deformed, dropped, or unsafe.
Use Proper PPE
Operators should use appropriate personal protective equipment, including:
- Safety goggles
- Face shield, where required
- Gloves
- Mask or respirator, where required
- Ear protection
- Safety shoes
- Protective clothing
Cutting and Grinding Safety
For cutting and grinding applications:
- Use the correct wheel for the correct material.
- Never exceed the maximum RPM marked on the product.
- Do not apply excessive pressure.
- Do not use a cutting wheel for grinding unless the product is designed for that use.
- Do not force the product into the material.
- Allow the tool to reach proper speed before contact.
- Keep guards and safety covers in place.
- Keep bystanders away from the working area.
Storage and Handling
Store abrasives and accessories in a dry, clean, and safe place away from moisture, direct sunlight, heat, and impact.
Do not drop cutting wheels, grinding wheels, or abrasive products. A dropped wheel may develop hidden damage and become unsafe during operation.
